Attractions at Americas Best Value Inn in Page, AZ
John Wesley Powell Museum (1Block) : The Museum's Visitor Information Center serves as a reservation agent for river and lake trips, scenic flights, ground tours to Antelope Canyon and Alstrom Point, as well as powerboat and houseboat rentals, and as a referral service for accommodations offered by local motel/hotel/bed and breakfast establishments. The client does not pay extra for the service as the Museum receives a donation from the various properties for this visitor assistance.
Colorado River Tours (3 Block) : High in the pristine Rocky Mountain wilderness of Colorado, the mighty Colorado River begins. After winding its way across Colorado, the river enters some of the most spectacular river rafting destinations in the world. These unparalleled Colorado River rafting vacations include famous Westwater Canyon, Cataract Canyon through Canyonlands National Park, Grand Canyon 6 or 7 Day, and Grand Canyon 3 Day or Grand Canyon 4 Day rafting trips......
Lake Powell (1Mile) : Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River, straddling the border between Utah and Arizona (most of it, along with Rainbow Bridge, is in Utah). It is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States behind Lake Mead, storing 24,322,000 acre feet (30 km³) of water when full. Lake Powell was created by the flooding of Glen Canyon by the controversial Glen Canyon Dam, which also led to the creation of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a popular summer destination.
Antelope Canyon (3 Miles) : Antelope Canyon is the most-visited and most-photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest.[1] It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as Upper Antelope Canyon or The Crack; and Lower Antelope Canyon or The Corkscrew.
Wahweep Antelope Point Marinas (3 Miles) : The newest marina on beautiful Lake Powell. Located just 12 miles from Page, Arizona, Antelope Point Marina offers both convenience and brand-new upscale services catering to long-time Powell boaters and newcomers alike. Antelope Point Marina is anchored in the Lake's main channel at mile marker 5, just a few minutes boat ride from the Glen Canyon Dam and nearby Wahweap Marina. Antelope is the closest land-based marina to world-famous Rainbow Bridge National Monument - commemorating 100 years in 2009, and adjacent to popular Antelope and Navajo canyons.
Horse Shoe Bend (3 Miles) : Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. It is located slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
Grand Canyon South Rim (110 Miles) : Canyon View Information Plaza is the park's visitor facility. Here you will find the visitor center (Canyon View Center), a large bookstore, and ample restrooms, all within a short walk of Mather Point. Because this facility was designed as the terminus for a mass transit system that is not yet operating, you cannot drive to it. Park your car and ride the free shuttle or walk the short trail from Mather Point.
Monument Valley (125 Miles) : Monument Valley provides perhaps the most enduring and definitive images of the American West. The isolated red mesas and buttes surrounded by empty, sandy desert have been filmed and photographed countless times over the years for movies, adverts and holiday brochures. Because of this, the area may seem quite familiar, even on a first visit, but it is soon evident that the natural colors really are as bright and deep as those in all the pictures. The valley is not a valley in the conventional sense, but rather a wide flat, sometimes desolate landscape, interrupted by the crumbling formations rising hundreds of feet into the air, the last remnants of the sandstone layers that once covered the entire region.
Grand Canyon North Rim (127 Miles) : The three developed viewpoints on the North Rim offer a sense of looking across the expanse of the canyon, rather than into its depths. Views of the Colorado River are rare and distant. These descriptions may help you to plan your visit.
Bryce Canyon (150 Miles) : Bryce Canyon National Park. Learn about the park's history and wildlife, discover scenic hiking trails and beautiful campgrounds. Plan a trip or vacation using detailed downloadable maps and referencing our sights guide, check the weather of the area, get the park address and driving directions, and find national park hotels and lodging.
